About PREC

The Piedmont Racial Equity Campaign was launched in the aftermath of the George Floyd protests. Our aim is to galvanize the Piedmont community to engage in direct anti-racist actions. We work with allied organizations and individuals to raise awareness about racism and to support policies for racial justice and equity. Our primary focus areas are: reforming policing, diversifying our city and its leadership, promoting policies that lead to diverse, affordable housing, and promoting anti-racism in the schools.  

 

PREC has a collective leadership structure. The current steering committee is composed of: Fairuz Abdullah, Irene Cheng, Leslie Gray, Amy Griffith, Sarah Karlinsky, Diana Lee and Susy Struble.
